Dr. Wouter van der Pot is a plastic surgeon with nearly twenty years of experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He trained at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) in Amsterdam and completed his specialization in plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic, and hand surgery at the AMC, the Netherlands Cancer Institute – Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, and the Red Cross Hospital in Beverwijk. He also gained international experience during a plastic surgery fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and earned the Fellowship of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS).
Over the years, Dr. Van der Pot has developed particular expertise in facial and breast surgery. He has performed thousands of procedures and continuously refined his techniques, with a focus on safe surgery and natural-looking, long-lasting results. His work in aesthetic breast surgery has earned him international recognition, and he is regularly invited as a speaker, educator, and live surgeon at conferences and masterclasses.
In addition to his clinical practice, he has been active in various governance and education committees within the Dutch Association of Plastic Surgery (NVPC), including education and guideline committees. He publishes in scientific journals and is committed to sharing and advancing knowledge within the field.
Dr. Van der Pot’s approach is defined by precision, personal attention, and genuine commitment to the patient. He believes plastic surgery is not only about technique, but also about trust, insight, and enjoyment of the craft. This combination forms the foundation of his pursuit of high-quality care and natural results. Each week, he treats patients from the Netherlands and abroad.
As co-founder and Medical Director of Gooimeer Clinics and Gooimeer Medical Center, he is building—together with Dr. Kalam Ahmed—a clinic where quality, safety, and personal attention are central, with the ambition to create a place where both patients and healthcare professionals feel exceptionally well cared for.
