Breast augmentation is one of the most commonly performed aesthetic procedures worldwide. At the same time, our experience shows that traditional techniques are not ideal for every breast. That is why, at Gooimeer Clinics, we work with the Preservé tissue-preservation technique — a modern method designed to preserve breast tissue, nerves and blood supply as much as possible.

We were the first clinic in the Netherlands to apply the Preservé technique. Dr. Van der Pot gives international lectures on this approach and has developed extensive medical illustrations to teach this technique worldwide.

What is a Preservé breast augmentation?

In a traditional breast augmentation, a pocket is created by separating the breast tissue from the underlying layer. This makes room for the implant, but inevitably causes tissue trauma. With the Preservé technique, the implant is placed in a natural anatomical space behind the breast tissue, without cutting the breast tissue loose. The breast tissue largely remains intact and connected to:

• blood vessels

• nerves

• supportive ligaments

This helps keep the breast biologically preserved “as one unit.”

Preservé breast augmentation focuses on a natural result with maximum tissue preservation. Instead of surgically separating the breast tissue, the implant is placed in an anatomical space behind the breast tissue, aiming for a softer feel, better sensation preservation and long-term stability. During the consultation, we take the time to assess your anatomy, goals and risk profile, and create a tailored plan — with honest advice on what is worthwhile and what is not.
